Role: Industrial designer
Solace is an ambient audio canvas designed to counteract digital fatigue and urban noise. Unlike traditional speakers, it functions as a living interface that responds to the user’s presence, elevating indoor environments through natural soundscapes. By preserving the raw texture of organic environments from rainfall to forests. Solace shifts technology from a source of distraction to a tool for tranquility and nervous system regulation.

The development process focused on the psychoacoustics of ambient sound and its influence on mood and focus. Iterative testing led to the selection of six core soundscapes (Moonlight, Rainfall, Ocean Waves, Warm Flames, Airflow, Walking), each optimized with specific frequency profiles known to support mental disconnection.

Built for endurance, It offers extended operation with up to 18 hours of playback under standard conditions, can extend usage to 72 hours for essential functions only. The display has brightness and blur visual feedback. And a magnetic charging restores full power in 90 minutes.
Solace features an intelligent Weather Mode that synchronizes audio output with real time external conditions. By pulling local environmental data, the device automatically adjusts its atmosphere to either complement or counterbalance the current weather.

To achieve true atmospheric immersion, the hardware features four speakers. This configuration is designed to project sound in a 360° ambient pattern, wrapping the room in a seamless auditory field rather than a directional stream.
