This 4-hole faucet split into two parts, it easily transforms into a hand shower with a 1.5 meter hose, offering flexible use. Made of brushed stainless steel, the fourth hole is used to control the diverter valve, which switches between the two jet outputs.
Studied six competing bath faucets, documenting diverter valve mechanisms hose connection systems, flow rate specifications.
Extendable hose faucet system
The 1.5 meter reinforced hose forms the core innovation of this system, enabling seamless conversion from fixed faucet to handheld shower.
Early ideation sessions generated four distinct faucet configurations focused on water efficiency and mode switching ergonomics. Each concept explored alternative mechanical approaches to enable transition between shower and faucet modes.
This four-hole faucet references late Victorian era English plumbing fixtures, adapting their distinctive coil configuration for modern use. The separate hot and cold water coils maintain traditional visual coding.
ISO-3822 features a fully removable system, allowing for quick installation, easy maintenance, and customizable configurations.
The modular design integrates quick-connect fittings, making it simple to detach and replace components without specialized tools. The interchangeable handles and spout provide flexibility, enabling users to adapt the faucet to their aesthetic and functional preferences.
